Studio HIP Project Featured in NYTimes

Our custom-designed green roof gazebo and work on PS 107X in the Bronx was featured in a New York Times story, 9 Ways to Stay Shaded on a Sweltering Day in New York City:

The city is preparing for extreme heat by introducing new methods to keep out of the sun and expanding on those more tried and true. Designed as part of our site furnishing tool box for the Trust for Public Land's NYC Playgrounds Program, the gazebo is an all steel structure with backpack hooks on the posts and green roof trays on top and is manufactured by Custom Fabrication here in New York.

TPL's Program Director, Mary Alice Lee along with the school principal and even one of the students were interviewed for the article which explains the importance of greening schoolyards and providing shade and cooler environments in the summer.
